Amanda Penney seeks to help others reach their full potential, in every goal they strive for. As a chartered HR professional, she understands how important it is for a leader to demonstrate trust and empathy to inspire others.  

When approached to participate in Man & Woman of the Year, a philanthropic competition, she was instantly drawn to the cause.  

Being personally connected to blood cancers through her cousin, whom she considers a sister, Amanda understands the great impact she can have on raising awareness and helping accelerate blood cancer cures. 
 

By earmarking her funds for research, Amanda’s achievement in raising over $63,000 not only made her Halifax’s 2021 Woman of the year, but also meant that she was able to directly support key research initiatives at the most critical time.
