Real Canadian Superstores and Extra Foods calls on community to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada
15th annual Give A Little, Help A Lot campaign runs July 15-August 1, 2022
Real Canadian Superstores and Extra Foods locations from Ontario (except Ottawa) to BC/Yukon, as well as select Your Independent Grocers and No Frills locations, are calling on their customers and community members to help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) this month.
The annual Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign kicks off on Friday, July 15th and runs until August 1st, with a goal to raise $300,000 to provide life-saving research and services for those affected by a blood cancer.
Community members can support the effort by making a $2 donation at the checkout during their regular grocery shop at Atlantic Superstore, Your Independent Grocer and No Frills locations throughout the region.
"We are grateful for the support we receive from Loblaw Canada Brands Ltd, UFCW members and the generosity of their customers to support the LLSC through the Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign," said Alicia Talarico, President, LLSC. "This campaign makes a difference in the lives of those affected by a blood cancer and their families. It ensures they receive assistance through every step of their blood cancer experience."
“We have a responsibility to make a positive impact that extends beyond our workforce and into the communities we serve,” says Mark Boudreau, director of corporate affairs, Loblaw Atlantic. “We strive to build inclusive and prosperous communities and the Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign is a perfect way to continue to focus on growing our company’s support for the blood cancer community. Through the efforts and generosity of our colleagues and customers, this campaign will make a large and positive impact for those impacted by a blood cancer and who rely on The LLSC for support.”
The blood cancer community thanks you, because when you Give A Little, it goes a long way.
