10-year-old Haley Scola wins Light The Night kids’ t-shirt design contest
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) is thrilled to announce the winner of this year’s Kids T-Shirt Design Contest. After receiving nearly 150 remarkable submissions, the winning design has been chosen: Congratulations to 10-year-old Haley Scola from Mississauga, Ontario!
Haley's inspiring design will be featured on t-shirts to be worn by white lantern participants (blood cancer survivors) at Light The Night (LTN) 2024 events across the country this fall. Her artwork, titled "Love, Hope, & Strength," beautifully encapsulates the core values of the white lantern community—strength, hope, and unity. This community includes people newly diagnosed with a blood cancer and those in remission, as well as survivors.
Celebrating young talent
LLSC extends its heartfelt thanks to every child who participated in the contest. Each submission was a true reflection of creativity, compassion, and unwavering support for the white lantern community. The collective talent displayed by these young artists brought joy and inspiration to everyone involved.
While only one design could be chosen as the winner, every piece of art submitted embodies the resilience and unity that define our community. LLSC is proud of the incredible efforts of all the participants.
