Dr. Mona Shafey
Dr. Mona Shafey is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Hematological Malignancies and Medical Director of the Alberta Blood & Marrow Transplant Program. She completed medical school and residency training at the University of Ottawa in 2008 and completed fellowship training in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at the University of Calgary in 2010. Her clinical and research interests are in malignant hematology with a focus on the management of patients with lymphoma and CLL, including the use of cellular therapies (stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapies) in the treatment of these diseases.
Baljit Randhawa
Baljit Randhawa R.N., M.N., N.P. has been a Nurse Practitioner with the Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant group at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, previously known as Tom Baker, for the past seven years. Prior to this, she worked as an R.N. at the Peter Lougheed Centre providing inpatient care to hematology patients. Areas of focus include myeloid malignancies, CLL, allogenic stem cell transplant, and allogenic stem cell survivorship.

Roy Tram
Roy Tram is a pharmacist specializing in outpatient hematology and bone marrow transplant (BMT) care with Alberta Health Services. With a strong background in hematology/oncology and transplant pharmacotherapy, he plays a vital role in providing treatment counseling, optimizing medication regimens, managing supportive care therapies, and ensuring safe transitions for BMT patients. Roy is passionate about patient education and collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams. He stays actively involved in research, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring pharmacy residents.

Jing Zeng
Jing Zeng is a registered dietitian in the Alberta Blood & Marrow Transplant Clinic, Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, who is specialized in nutrition support for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants. Jing is passionate about helping patients optimize their nutrition before, during, and after treatment to improve outcome and enhance recovery. Committed to evidence-based care, Jing works closely with patients, caregivers, and medical teams to navigate the unique dietary challenge with blood cancer. From managing side effects like nausea and taste change to ensuring adequate protein and calorie intake, Jing provides personalized guidance to help patients maintain strength and quality of life throughout their journey.
